Insurance is going up really?

So after watching the news I have heard that my insurance is going to go up next year.

Did I get in an accident? Did I drink and drive? Did I get caught speeding?

The answer to all of these is no I didn't, so whats the justification.

I want to know why is my insurance going to go up when there have been so many economic troubles and people are having trouble loses their houses because they cannot pay their mortgage why/how could they pay more for insurance?

I don't know what everyone else is going to do but I am going to have to shop around and reevaluate some other monthly expenditures it compensate the cost.

So lets here it what is everyone else thinking about this and what do you plan on doing about it if anything?

Shopping at Home?

So Christmas is coming so and the shopping season is about to start. What are you going to do?

With the concern over spending money and consumer confidence are you going to still spend what normally do? Can you offord to spend that much anymore.

Also with the raising Canadian dollar how many Canadians are heading south of the border?

Is it bad to head south to do your Christmas shopping as spending your hard earned Dollars in another country puts those dollars into someone elses economy.

Lets here what you have to say, what part of this is important to you,

So is it over?

So all I don't know about some about our friends south of border but in Canada things do look better than before.

I mean our dollar is better right that means the economy is better right? NO, our dollar getting better is a bad thing people don't realize it but it really is.

A good portion of our economy is driven by they US but if our dollar is more do you think they will still buy things here?

Tourism will they still come? resources will they still buy them? I know Canadians will start shopping south of the border which will pump money into their economy and not ours.

People think when our dollar goes up it is a good thing for Canada but it is actually the exact opposite

Stimulus or Atom Bomb?

The stimulus bill that President Obama has recently signed is suppose to help the econonmy, the people right?

Lets take a deeper look at this.

So you walked into work a couple of months as you have for years coffee in hand thinking nothing of it. You are hard at work around the water cooler and then next thing you know you are no longer employed.

This is bad since you owe $500,000 on a home that is really only worth $310,000 you have $12,000 worth of credit card debit and 2 car payments.

You look for work but the problem is that 8.9% (official number for Feb 2009) of the population is doing the same there is nothing.

Of course you trust your elected officials that they will not allow this to happen and they will fix everthing right?

You are going to be sorry for beleiving that!

They buy (with your money) Fannie and Freddie so they own your mortgage insurance, they pump billions of dollars into failing banks that have done this to themselves i:e: does it really make sense to give a family with the income of $75,000 a mortgage of $500,000.

They take stock in these banks as collateral there for owning these banks.

Keep in mind they are using your tax dollars to do this, so in actually they are using your money.

What people don't seam to realize is that that this money that is being GIVEN out not just readily available, they are taking out bigger loans and printing more money.

That lowers the value of the dollar and creates bigger headaches.

If I asked you for loan of $1000 and you had little to nothing would you just go borrow it from someone else to give it to me.

I am not saying we should not help each other but you cannot bankrupt an entire country doing it.

Now they are going to buy your mortgage at the atronomical price and sell it back to you at one you can afford sounds great right?

Things to think about on that;

If the federal government owns your mortgage, your mortgage insurance, your cars, your credit card debit, and your penison what more can they own that this time?

The other thing is that if they have done this with your tax dollars don't you own it atleast in part?

I know it seems grim but think about those things before racking up anymore debit on the huge TV.
